While in Belgium there was Gold to be found on the Cross Country track.

Leinster put to bed some recent bad memories on their Investec Champions Cup opener in La Rochelle.

While in South Africa there was a first ever win for the Men’s Sevens team against New Zealand.

Glen retained their AIB Ulster Club Football Championship title.

While in Munster Castlehaven of Cork secured a win over Dingle of Kerry following a dramatic penalty shoot out.

And finally, Ulster Rugby bade farewell to a giant of the game in Syd Millar
