
She will now face Thailand’s Sudapom Seesandee on Saturday to secure her first World title.
Harrington reached the same stage in 2016, the only Irish woman other than Katie Taylor to scale that peak. Taylor won five titles between 2006 and 2014.
All of the fights from India have been streamed live on the AIBA website. The Finals day gets underway at 10.30 in the morning Irish time with Harrington’s fight around halfway through the session.
The Irish team will return to Dublin on Sunday afternoon, hopefully to a hero’s welcome and clutching a World Championship Gold medal.
