Bord Gáis Energy and the GAA Museum have announced the return of the popular GAA Legends Tours featuring a stellar line-up of Gaelic Games icons.

The series was launched today at Croke Park by Mayo’s Lee Keegan and Tipperary’s Pádraic Maher.

At each tour of Croke Park, fans get the opportunity to meet some of the greatest GAA players of all time and hear them reminisce about their career highlights.

Attendees will also learn about players’ individual pre-match routines and superstitions and get the inside scoop on some of the biggest moments from each player’s career. All tours include a trip to the GAA Museum, which vividly illustrates the story of Gaelic Games from ancient times to the present day.

This year’s tours start on 10 May and GAA Legends that will lead a tour during this series include Paddy Andrews (Dublin), Rena Buckley (Cork), John Troy (Offaly), Michael Murphy (Donegal), Cora Staunton (Mayo), Paul Murphy (Kilkenny) and Denis ‘Ogie’ Moran (Kerry).

“This series offers fans the chance to gain an insight into the hard work and dedication it takes to play and compete at the highest level of GAA and what goes on behind the scenes on some of the biggest days in the Irish sporting calendar,” said Bord Gáis Director Teresa Purtill.

“The tour never fails to amaze and entertain the brilliant fans of the GAA,” added GAA Museum Director Niamh McEvoy.

“With the successful return of in-person tours last year, we’re excited for what this year’s series will bring. The selection of football, hurling and camogie stars for this year’s tour is incredible and we hope that all those attending truly relish listening to these legends of the game here in Croke Park.”

“Working together with this year’s legends, we’re excited to continue our partnership with Bord Gáis Energy for yet another year.”

“The Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tour has proven to be a resounding success, giving fans an insight to some of Gaelic Game’s biggest stars,” said Croke Park Stadium and Commercial Director, Peter McKenna.

“It’s fantastic to be here today for the launch of the 2023 series. Lee and Pádraic along with the other legends participating in the 2023 tours will no doubt give fans an amazing experience across the summer.”

“We’re very thankful to Bord Gáis Energy for their extended support of Cumann Lúthchleas Gael and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them.”
