Leinster Rugby and Best Menswear have this morning launched Club 1879, a collaboration between the club and its Official Clothing Partner to bring a casual collection of Leinster clothing to supporters ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season.
The Club 1879 name is inspired by the year Leinster Rugby was founded and brings a range of items to the market, available exclusively at Best Menswear, that will bear a new Leinster emblem as well as incorporating the three main colours of the club, navy, blue and yellow.
Pictured above at the launch are Leinster players Harry Byrne, Ciarán Frawley and Rob Russell.
“This is something that we have been looking at with Leinster for some time now, said John Smith, Managing Director of Best Menswear.
“A way in which we can celebrate the heritage of the club, while also bringing the range of options for supporters wanting to show their support for the club, to another level.”
“We are delighted to have worked with Leinster on the Club 1879 concept and to have brought a new Leinster emblem to the market and of course, delighted that the pieces will be available exclusively at BEST Menswear online and across selected stores.”
The company have been partners of Leinster Rugby since 2005.
“We have been working with BEST Menswear for nearly 20 years and it is a pleasure working with John and his team in general but they have really embraced this project since the start,” added Eamon de Búrca, Commercial and Partnerships Manager with Leinster Rugby.
“We feel that there is an opportunity to bring something different to the market not only in terms of clothing but also in terms of the look and feel of the Leinster brand and having a bespoke identity for this range has been a very enjoyable collaborative process.”
“We think our supporters are really going to like the collection and it’s the start of something different and quite exciting for our brand.”
Leinster signed a new long term deal with Castore for sports and sports casual wear earlier this year.
