Leopardstown Racecourse is delighted to announce Mercedes – Benz South Dublin as the official car partner for the 2023 Leopardstown Christmas Festival.

“The partnership brings together two iconic brands known for their commitment to excellence, luxury, and innovation,” said the statement this morning.

This is the first car partnership for the ever popular meeting since Lexus exited their partnership in 2017 after 13 years as sponsors of the Lexus Chase.

Leopardstown’s National Hunt Horse Racing Festival is known as one of Ireland’s best sporting and social occasions and each year takes place at the South Dublin Track from December 26th to 29th.

The meeting brings together the best of Ireland’s National Hunt horses and is something of a rite of passage for young people across South Dublin who get dressed up and attend especially on the St Stephen’s Day fixture.

Mercedes-Benz joins Savills, Paddy Power, Matheson, Racing Post, Dornan Group, Ballymaloe, the Irish Daily Star, Adare Manor and Plusvital among the blue-chip sponsor roster.

As the official car partner, Mercedes-Benz South Dublin will provide a fleet of luxurious vehicles to enhance the overall experience for attendees.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mercedes-Benz South Dublin as our official car partner for the Leopardstown Christmas Racing Festival,” said Tim Husbands, CEO of Leopardstown Racecourse.

“Their commitment to excellence and their reputation for providing the highest level of luxury align perfectly with our vision for this prestigious event. We are confident that this partnership will elevate the overall experience for all attendees.”

In addition to the car partnership, Mercedes-Benz South Dublin will sponsor the Grade 2 Juvenile Hurdle on the opening day of the festival. The race attracts some of the best Juveniles and last year was won by the Willie Mullins trained Lossiemouth, who went on to be placed second at the Dublin Racing Festival and also won two Grade 1’s at the Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals.

“We are honoured to be named the official car partner of the Leopardstown Christmas Racing Festival,” added Barry Quinn, Mercedes-Benz South Dublin General Manager.

“This partnership allows us to showcase our exceptional range of vehicles to a discerning audience while supporting one of Ireland’s most prestigious sporting events. We look forward to providing a luxurious and memorable experience for all attendees.”
