The Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) and Allied Irish Banks (AIB) have confirmed the 2025 AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Team of the Year, following the conclusion of this season’s club campaign.

Players selected will be honoured at the AIB Club Player Awards on Friday, March 13th at Croke Park, where the AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Player of the Year will also be announced. The ceremony will mark the second occasion on which the four codes of Ladies Football, Camogie, Hurling and Men’s Football are recognised together.

All-Ireland senior champions Kilkerrin-Clonberne account for ten of the 15 places on the Team of the Year. The Galway club secured a fifth successive AIB All-Ireland Senior Club title in December with victory over St Ergnats, Moneyglass at Croke Park.

St Ergnats, who won a first Ulster Senior Club title before progressing to their inaugural All-Ireland final, have five representatives included in the selection.

Kilkerrin-Clonberne’s tally represents an increase of two on last year’s total. Six of their players — Sarah Gormally, Niamh Divilly, Nicola Ward, Louise Ward, Olivia Divilly and Eva Noone — have been named for a second successive season.

There are three sets of sisters recognised on the team: Nicola and Louise Ward; Niamh, Siobhán and Olivia Divilly; and Sarah and Maria O’Neill of St Ergnats.

Two Kilkerrin-Clonberne players, Nicola Ward and Siobhán Divilly, have been shortlisted for Club Player of the Year, alongside Cathy Carey of St Ergnats. Divilly was named Player of the Match in the All-Ireland Final, while Carey, a former Antrim captain, played a central role in her club’s run to the decider.

AIB has also introduced a new ‘Moments of the Championship’ award, recognising notable instances across the LGFA, Camogie and GAA Club Championships.

Nominees include Muckalee LGFA, who progressed from Leinster Junior champions to All-Ireland Junior winners; Katie Rogers of Knockbride LGFA, who fulfilled a personal ambition to play at Croke Park before turning 30; and Ballymacelligot GAA, acknowledged for forming a guard of honour for An Ghaeltacht ahead of the AIB GAA All-Ireland Intermediate Final.

LGFA President Trina Murray congratulated those recognised, noting that Kilkerrin-Clonberne’s ten selections reflected the standards set by the current champions, while St Ergnats’ five inclusions underlined the quality of the Ulster club’s campaign. She also acknowledged the role of volunteers, coaches and families in supporting players at club level, and thanked AIB for its continued backing of the competition.

AIB Chief Customer Officer Orlaith Ryan said the championship had delivered a high standard of performance and commitment throughout the season, and congratulated all players named on the Team of the Year as well as the three Player of the Year nominees.
