The SSE Airtricity Dublin Race Series kicks off this weekend as the countdown begins to the Dublin Marathon on October 26th.
An addition to the facilities for runners this year will be the provision of a bike park at each of the race venues.
The series will start its 14th year with the Irish Runner 5 Mile Race in the Phoenix Park, Dublin. Just over 3,500 runners, joggers and walkers will line up at the start line of the first race in the four part Dublin Race Series.
The route has also been confirmed for the main event in October. It will start and finish on Fitzwilliam Square taking in loops of the city around the phoenix Park to the west and UCD’s Belfield Campus to the south.
The medal for finishers this year will incorporate the motif of the Mansion House which is celebrating its 300th anniversary.
