Munster Rugby and Adidas are inviting supporters to participate in the Munster March this Saturday at 3.20 pm ahead of the Champions Cup clash with Bayonne in Thomond Park.

The one-mile walk from Limerick City Centre to Thomond Park will help raise awareness of the club’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action.

The aim is to halve Munster Rugby’s overall emissions by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2040 or as soon as possible.

A key focus of the strategy is to encourage supporters, where possible, to use more sustainable forms of transport – such as walking, cycling, carpooling and public transport, when travelling to matches.

Using the Ciclogreen App, supporters can track their participation in the Munster March, collect points, and be entered into a raffle to win Munster Rugby prizes for participation.

Small steps taken together can mean huge strides forward in the club’s collective ability to affect positive change. It will be appealing to younger generations of supporters who will generally be more aware of the dangers of climate change and be the ones who press the rest of us to do more.
