Navy Blue Sports has been announced as the new title sponsor of the Lansdowne FC U20s, linking one of Ireland’s growing sports talent and commercial agencies with one of rugby’s best-established development pathways.

The partnership was launched at Lansdowne Road, where members of the U20 squad were joined by Niall Woods, Founder, and Jordi Murphy, Head of Talent and Partnerships at Navy Blue Sports.

Lansdowne’s U20s are competing this season in the JP Fanagan Premier 1 division, the highest level of age-grade club rugby in Leinster and a competition that has long provided a bridge between schools rugby and the senior club and professional game.

That pathway has particular resonance at Lansdowne, where generations of players have progressed through the club before going on to represent Leinster, other provinces and Ireland.

“We are thrilled to support the next generation of Irish rugby talent through this partnership with Lansdowne FC,” said Woods.

For Navy Blue Sports, the sponsorship provides a natural connection with emerging talent at a stage when players are beginning to consider the opportunities and challenges that can accompany progression towards the elite game.

The company works across talent management, partnerships and the broader commercial side of sport, giving the relationship an added relevance beyond branding on the jersey.

There is also a neat connection in Murphy himself. The former Ireland and Leinster international moved into the business of sport following his playing career and now leads talent and partnership activity within Navy Blue Sports.

The sponsorship adds another commercial partner to the ecosystem around one of Irish rugby’s most historic clubs while putting the spotlight firmly on the U20 level, where much of the next generation of senior club and professional talent continues to emerge.
