Newstalk and Off The Ball, have signed an 18-month partnership with OUTsurance. The partnership which commenced in August, sees OUTsurance come on board as the sponsor of all sports news bulletins, broadcast on Newstalk.

South African based OUTsurance, operating out of Cherrywood in Dublin, is one of the newest providers of insurance in the Irish market, now offering home and car insurance to Irish customers.

The new partnership comes into play as OUTsurance have launched their first marketing campaign, ‘Insurance Therapy’, which focuses on the OUTbonus, and consumers’ one-sided relationship with insurance. The OUTbonus is a new concept in the insurance industry in Ireland, where customers will be entitled to 10% of their insurance premiums (less taxes and levies) back when they hold their policy claim-free for 3 years.

“We are delighted to be partnering with OUTsurance to deliver sports news to the nation,” said Newstalk Managinf Editor, Sports news John Duggan.

“We are delighted with the opportunity to partner with a staple of the national airwaves such as Newstalk,” added Ian Kennedy for OUTsurance.

“By its nature, the OUTsurance brand and our OUTbonus proposition (10% cashback on premiums), is refreshing, different, and distinctive and we want to get this message to as many Irish consumers as possible, which this sponsorship will greatly assist with.”

Off the Ball’s nightly listenership was 45,000 and its Saturday show 143,000 in the most recent radio listenership figures.
