PE Xpo taking place at DCU on March 4th expects to be bigger than ever this year with projects in PE across a range of categories from schools across the country.

This is one of the most interesting and exciting events we get involved with each year and it has been a pleasure to see it grow over the years.

Sport for Business will present an award for the project with the greatest potential to spin out into a business initiative and this year for the first time we will also host a stage where we will interview a host of stars that are lending their support to the initiative.

We have always likened it to the BT Young Scientists that has grown to be such a huge part of our educational and indeed cultural sense of selves. That has been running for over 50 years and PE Xpo is heading in the right direction.

“We are already five per cent ahead of the number of projects that we saw last year and will be at capacity in the sports centre at DCU on March 4th,” said Show Director and PE teacher Paddy O’Reilly.

“There will be busloads of shools coming from every corner of the country and it has been great to see such strong support coming from the sporting community this year.”

McSport, Sport Ireland, Dublin City Council Sport and Wellbeing Partnership, DCU and South Dublin County Council are among those lending their support this year and there are other contributions from Setanta College, Judo Ireland, the Business Houses Athletic Association Lifestyle Sports and many more.

The event will run at DCU on Wednesday, March 4th with the judging of the hundreds of entries across nine categories taking place through the morning.
