Last week he stood on stage with us at the Sport for Business Sport for Social Good conference in Dublin. Yesterday he completed his ultra-endurance run from Malin Head to Mizen Head, the northern to the southern tip of Ireland, to raise money for the National Council for the Blind.
Peter ryan is perhaps one of the most determined, most resilient, and maddest in a nice way individuals we have had the pleasure to come across.
He will wake up this morning with his feet in ribbons but knowing he has done something that few could even imagine and all for a great cause.
He told us last week that up to 75 per cent of visual impairments might be avoided if caught in time and that is what can happen now with the money raised by peter to create and equip ireland’s first ever Vision Van.
The run has been supported by his employers, Sport for Business members Campion Insurance and Peter has been joined on his run by other members including Paddy murphy of Ogier Leman and paddy Ryan of Run Republic.
There is still an opportunity to give and it would be brilliant if you could at https://www.idonate.ie/event/petersrun-malintomizenheadonworldsightdayforncbi.
The figure has nudged through €80,000 and it would be great to go higher. He deserves our support.
