Play in Pink, the fundraising initiative of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI), has been confirmed as the official Charity Partner for the inaugural Women’s Irish Challenge, which will take place at Malahide Golf Club from August 27–29, 2025.
Already a Charity Partner for the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, this new association will give golf fans another opportunity to support both the development of women’s professional golf and the vital breast cancer research taking place at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway.
As part of the agreement, 50% of all ticket sales for the tournament will go directly to Play in Pink.
“We’re thrilled to be involved with the Women’s Irish Challenge as the Charity Partner,” said Frances Boyle, National Play in Pink Co-ordinator.
“A huge percentage of the fundraising for the NBCRI comes from golf, and the support we receive from these national and international tournaments is amazing. Thank you to everyone involved, and we hope lots of people come out to support the event.”
“We are proud to partner with Play in Pink for this year’s event,” added Tournament Director Simon Honan.
“Their work in funding breast cancer research is inspiring, and to be able to support that through our ticket sales and platform is something we’re really passionate about.”
“We’re especially looking forward to our Play in Pink Day on August 28, when all players and spectators are invited to wear pink in support of the cause.”
Tickets are priced at €10, with half of all proceeds going to Play in Pink.
The Women’s Irish Challenge has also confirmed Flogas and Novellus as commercial partners for 2025, further strengthening the event’s profile as it makes its debut on the Ladies European Tour Access Series calendar.
