There may be no roar of the crowd at Croke Park on Sunday but there will still be an official match programme for the meeting of Limerick and Waterford.
Fans will be able to buy online, get a soft copy emailed on Sunday morning and then a hard copy in the post.
Through the GAA partnership with SuperValu and Centra, they will also be able to buy6 a physical copy in selected stores across the two competing counties from Saturday.
In the run-up to the weekend, a social media competition has been running to select what the front cover will look like.
Each of the three choices is pictured above and one winner who entered will be given a €500 voucher to spend in their local SuperValu or Centra.
This year’s programme features exclusive interviews with Limerick’s Dan Morrissey and Waterford’s Jake Dillon, detailed player profiles from both the Waterford and Limerick panels, insights into the Joe McDonagh Cup final between Antrim and Kerry, features from leading writers such as Enda McEvoy, Christy O’Connor, John Harrington and Brian Murphy, as well as the traditional information around the starting teams for both sides.
“For many, acquiring a match programme is an intrinsic part of the matchday experience, not just at Croke Park but at all of our venues,” said GAA Director of Communication, Alan Milton.
“This is especially true on All-Ireland final day where partisans and neutrals alike collect and keep their prized souvenir programmes.”
“While the masses can’t come to Croke Park to enjoy the final, they can still order a copy of the programme and receive it in both hard and soft copy formats.”
“We hope many avail of the opportunity and keep up a long-standing tradition despite the challenges of staging the championships over the course of 2020.”
Those wishing to buy a copy of the programme, which will, of course, remain more pristine for not having been rolled up into your back pocket on Hill 16 can do so by contacting the GAA Publishers DBA Publications here.
