PwC looks set for a strong boost to its association with sport this summer with the Irish U20 Rugby team expected to put up a strong performance in the World Championships taking place in Italy between the 2nd and 22nd of June.

The Professional Services firm also has a strong association with the Gaelic Players Association and the GAA .

“After an excellent semi-final performance in New Zealand last year, we’re looking forward to the performance of this year’s squad and hope we can go one step further,” said Feargal O’Rourke, PwC’s incoming senior partner.

Last year’s performances in New Zealand did not reach the same level of awareness as a European based run would generate and there will be a higher level of TV coverage this time round with BT Sport carrying full coverage of the tournament through Setanta Sports and TG4 broadcasting the Irish matches live as well.

Some of the pictures of the team announcement yesterday that are carried in today’s media have players with their arms folded across the brand which is not exactly what a sponsor is looking for.

Sometimes its the simple things that make all the difference.  We at least are happy to show what’s possible with this picture from Inpho.ie
