2017’s Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series schedule has been announced in Texas and the first stop on one of the world’s most dramatic sporting events is on the Aran Island of Inis Mór.

The international series will hold six competitions leaving little room for error as the world’s most daring and graceful divers battle it out for the 2017 title.  This year’s event is introducing a degree of difficulty table to reward those who look to get the most into their dives and bringing it a little closer in that small way to the kind of diving undertaken by our own Oliver Dingley in making the Olympic Final last year.

Dingley is currently competing in the World Series of Diving in Beijing.

After the craggy cliffs of Inis Mór the series takes in the ominous Hell’s Gate Cliffs in Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas, the world-famous Stari Most bridge in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Chile’s Lago Ranco, which will serve as the 2017 World Series Final on October 21.

The Irish event kicks things off on June 24th.
