The Ireland Women’s National Team squad have given their support to 24 different charities that are doing fantastic work in Ireland.
Ahead of their EURO 2025 qualifying double header with Sweden – starting with a home game at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, May 31st – the players took part in a special photoshoot to pull on t-shirts from different charities.
“It is really important to recognise the important work being done every single day by so many charities and organisations around the country that help people who need it most,” said Team Captain Katie McCabe.
“We, as a squad, want to use our profile in a busy international week to help in a small way to promote this.”
“Over the last few years we have publicly supported several charities and initiatives, but we wanted to include some more ahead of our games against Sweden so that we can raise more awareness for the volunteers and workers who are making such a positive difference.
“Whatever cause you feel connected to most, give what you can to donate as every little bit helps.”
The charities supported include Aoibhneas, AsIAm, Barnardos, Breast Cancer Ireland, Children’s Health Foundation, Concern Worldwide, DaisyHouse, Down Syndrome Ireland, Focus Ireland, Gavin Glynn Foundation, Irish Cancer Society, Irish Guide Dogs, Irish Heart Foundation, Irish Hospice Foundation, Irish Red Cross, Irish Wildlife Trust, Jack And Jill Children’s Foundation, Jigsaw, LauraLynn Children’s Hospice, Marie Keating Foundation, Pieta, RNLI Lifeboats, Simon Community, and Women’s Aid.
