Former Republic of Ireland international and Shelbourne manager Damien Duff will return to television screens tomorrow night.
He will make his League of Ireland punditry debut on Virgin Media Television’s live coverage of the Dublin derby between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians.
Duff will feature as a studio analyst for Friday night’s highly anticipated clash, bringing insight from his experience as a former Premier League and international star, as well as one of the most prominent managerial figures of recent years in the League of Ireland.
He will join fellow pundit Brian Kerr and presenter Tommy Martin as part of the broadcast team, with coverage including live build-up, analysis and post-match reaction.
The appointment continues Virgin Media Television’s investment in its League of Ireland coverage, underlining the broadcaster’s commitment to expanding the profile and reach of the domestic game.
The inclusion of one of the league’s highest-profile figures of recent years in a live punditry role is another sign of the growing commercial and broadcast momentum behind the League of Ireland, with clubs, sponsors SSE Airtricity and Rockshore and broadcasters all benefiting from heightened public interest in the competition.
Shamrock Rovers against Bohemians will be shown live on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Play from 7.30pm on Friday evening.
