Sport for Business has published the next three themes to be covered in it’s popular programme of Members’ Round Table events.
Cultural Crossover, the Irish Abroad and In Stadium Experience will be the subjects to be considered by 12 different thought leaders drawn from across the sporting, business and political and other relevant communities.
Previous themes which have attracted interest from Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Ulster Bank, Diageo, the GAA, FAI, Irish Sports Council, UCD the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport and many more have included Women’s sport, broadcasting, children in sport, social media, betting, alcohol promotion, employment in sport and technology.
Sport and Cultural Crossover

We will look at how sporting events can liaise closer with cultural, tourism and local authorities to encourage greater crossover between sport and the arts. This will take place in Dublin on Thursday, February 21st.
The Irish Abroad

We will take Sport for Business outside of Ireland for the first time on March 14th when we host a Members’ Round Table in London. The subjects we are looking at will include how sport can maintain strong links with those leaving Ireland for economic reasons and how the diaspora can ultimately have a positive impact on sporting organisations back home.
In Stadium Experience
In April we will pick up on one of the themes expressed at December’s meeting on Social Media when we look at how fans experience in stadiums can be improved by looking at practices from around the world and how they might be applied here.
Have you a voice that will add to the discussion?
Participation in the Round Table programme is open, free of charge, to full members of the Sport for Business community. We also reserve a number of spaces for guests and potential future members.
If you think you might enjoy the benefits to be gained from sharing thought leadership in a format that has been described as ‘a real winner’, and ‘of great benefit in meeting people I would not normally have an opportunity to get together with in a really productive setting,’ contact us today to stake your claim indicating which of the first four events you would like to be a part of.
