MG Motor has reaffirmed its commitment to Irish sport with the renewal of its partnership with Rowing Ireland, continuing as the Official Vehicle Partner through to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The extended partnership will provide tangible support to Rowing Ireland’s High-Performance Programme, which continues to thrive on the global stage, building on a successful Paris 2024 campaign and aiming even higher over the next four years.
MG Motor will supply a fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles to aid the operational and logistical demands of Rowing Ireland’s elite programme. The support is aligned with both organisations’ shared commitment to environmental responsibility and high-performance outcomes.
“We are delighted to renew our partnership with MG Motor as our Official Vehicle Partner,” said Michelle Carpenter, CEO of Rowing Ireland.
“Their support has already made a significant difference to our operations, and we are excited to continue this journey together.”
“With the LA Games on the horizon, it is fantastic to have such a dynamic and forward-thinking brand backing our ambitions.”
MG’s commitment to sport in Ireland has grown steadily in recent years. In addition to rowing, the brand is the Official Vehicle Partner of Bohemian FC.
“We’re incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Rowing Ireland as they begin their journey toward LA 2028,” added Natasha Maher, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at MG Motor.
“At MG, we believe in backing ambition, and there’s no better example of that than the dedication and drive shown by Ireland’s rowing athletes.”
“As a brand focused on innovation and sustainability, we’re delighted to support the team with a fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles as they power toward their Olympic goals.”
