
Former Irish Internationals Fiona Steed, Rosie Foley and Lynne Cantwell will join Daire O’Brien for live coverage on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player.
There will be match commentary from Ryle Nugent and Fiona Coghlan with Clare MacNamara reporting. Evanne Ní Chuilinn will also report throughout the tournament.
Michael Corcoran will have full live commentary on RTÉ 2FM alongside former Irish international Grace Davitt with Damien O’Meara reporting.
RTÉ will follow the Irish team every step of the way with live coverage of all of Ireland’s pool games in the UCD Bowl, Dublin against Australia on 9 August, Japan on 13 August and France on 17 August, as well as Ireland’s knock-out and final placing matches and the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final on Saturday 26 August from Kingspan Stadium, Belfast.
Live coverage will be broadcast across RTÉ2, RTE Player and RTÉ 2FM.
RTÉ News Now app and RTÉ.ie/Sport will have match trackers for each Ireland game, while pre-match and post-match analysis and interviews will also be posted to social media throughout the tournament.
Mastercard, as one of the main sponsors of the tournament have also taken on broadcast coverage with RTÉ.

RTÉ have also dug up an interesting look at the genesis of Women’s Rugby in Ireland from as far back as 1973. It would be interesting to see if any of the players from this colours match between UCD and Trinity wil be there tomorrow to see what they were well able to imagine all of 44 years ago.
