Ahead of the final round of SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division fixtures, RTÉ and the League of Ireland have confirmed that both Derry City v Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers v Waterford will be broadcast live on RTÉ television.

Damien Duff’s Shelbourne side travel to Derry knowing a win will guarantee them the title live on RTÉ2 while Shamrock Rovers could also be a win away from a record fifth title in a row against Waterford live on the RTÉ News Channel if Shels drop points.

After Friday night’s and Sunday evening’s wins, and St Pats victory over Derry, they are the last two standing. Shamrock Rovers have the advantage in Goal difference should the Shelbourne Derry game end in a draw.

It promises to be a night of real drama, at the end of a season of the same and while both games will be sold out in the grounds, we can only hope they will attract a significant audience on screen as well.

Both games will also be live on the RTÉ Player.
