That’s one of the lines from football poet Lewis Kenny that RTÉ revealed yesterday in their promo for the Euro 2016 coverage that starts next week.
Together with the Three ad showing the fans taking off to France to the beat of ‘Brewing up a storm’, there is plenty to get us excited over the next few days.
The 23 man squad was named late last night with captain Robbie Keane included despite injury concerns.
Before the start of the tournament everybody has high hopes and optimism. One good result against Sweden and the country will tip into a collective frenzy. We can’t wait. But just in case you are a student of history we have also included a look back to RTÉ’s promo before the Euro 2012 tournament.
