Saturday July 29th will be the start date for the final round of public preparation for this year’s Rugby World Cup.

It will be the first of five consecutive weekends of the Summer nations series, sponsored in Ireland by Bank of Ireland.

The Six nations of Ireland, England, France, Scotland, Wales and Italy will be joined by South Africa, Australia, Japan, Georgia, Fiji and Samoa as each fine tunes their squad for the tournament in France running through September and October.

As the teams prepare for Rugby World Cup later this year, the Summer Nations Series will be the last chance for fans to see their sides in action before the tournament starts in France this September.

There will be extensive broadcast coverage in Ireland, Britain, France and Italy, as well as in 185 countries around the world.

RTE will show all Ireland games and Premier Sports will bring all the other games to viewers in Ireland. In the UK the games will be shown on Prime Video, while in France TF1 will show all France games and L’Equipe will offer fans access to the other nations games. Sky Italia will do similar in their domestic market. and Sky Italia will continue its support of rugby in Italy by showing all games.

Andy Farrell‘s Ireland host Italy on Saturday August 5th and England two weeks later on Saturday August 19th with both games taking place at the Aviva Stadium.

They then face Samoa in Bayonne on Saturday August 26th) in their final outing before the Rugby World Cup.

The Summer Nations Series starts on July 29th, when Scotland host Italy in Edinburgh, and runs until Sunday 27th August, when France, welcome Australia to the Stade de France to close out the Series.

Two match tickets to see the Italy and England games are currently on sale at a cost of €171 each.
