TritonLake, the primary sponsor of the Ireland Men’s and Women’s Rugby Sevens teams, has revealed a number of interesting activations it will be rolling out over the course of its second full year as a partner to the teams and the IRFU.

Following a strong display from both sides in Dubai last weekend, which included an impressive second-place finish from the Men’s Team, both sides are back in action this weekend at the World Series Cape Town Sevens tournament, which kicks off on Friday, December 9th.

The Irish Men’s Sevens Teams secured a historic bronze medal at the Rugby World Cup Sevens there in September, while the Women’s Team also flourished over the year, claiming an impressive fourth-place finish in last season’s World Series rankings.

This season, TritonLake has teamed up with Ireland Men’s Sevens player and content creator, Harry McNulty, to create the Seven Wonders city guides which will see some of the top city locations on the World Series circuit explored through the lens of a Sevens player.

McNulty’s and TritonLake’s followers can look forward to recommendations for the best food and drinks spots, along with must-do activities, in some of the World Series’ iconic locations, including Dubai.

TritonLake today also launched Season Two of the podcast TritonLake Perform, which explores the intersection of sport and business, and in particular, the necessary ingredients when it comes to creating and maintaining a dynamic high-performance culture.

Hosted by TritonLake founder and CEO, Conor Smyth, the first guest of Season Two is former Irish international and Leicester Tigers coach Geordan Murphy, who reflects on the achievements, challenges, and learnings from his time in England and in the Ireland shirt.

Upcoming guests on TritonLake Perform include Sue Anstiss MBE, founder of the Women’s Sport Collective and Omar Hassanein, Chief Executive at the International Rugby Players’ Association.

“Everyone at TritonLake would like to extend our warmest congratulations to both squads on their record-breaking seasons, which was capped off last month as Terry Kennedy was rightfully named World Rugby 7s Player of the Year,” said Smyth.

“We are delighted to continue our support of the Sevens Programme in Ireland and look forward to watching both teams as they look to build on last year’s achievements.”

“TritonLake is particularly excited to be partnering with Harry McNulty on our Seven Wonders content series, which we hope will give followers of the game a fun and unique perspective into the life of a Sevens player on tour.”

“TritonLake’s sponsorship tenure has coincided with the most successful season to date for both these teams and we look forward to seeing what the next season holds for these squads, and this partnership,” added IRFU Chief Commercial Officer, Padraig Power

“We would like to extend our best wishes to both teams for the upcoming Cape Town Sevens tournament and beyond.”
