The sporting world moves on at a ferocious pace and while Ireland is still reflecting on the third-place finish in the evaluation of bids for hosting Rugby World Cup 2023, thoughts turned this morning to the dates of games we will face in Japan in 2019.

We no know that Ireland will play Scotland in our opening game on September 22nd and hosts Japan on Saturday 28th September. Our third game will be against a team yet to qualify from Europe and will be played on Thursday 3rd October.

All three games will be played in different stadia and the first two will be early starts at 16-45 and 16-15 local time. The third will be in local prime time at 19-15.

In terms of timing back at home in Dublin, Limerick, Galway and Belfast, those games will be played at 08-45, 08-15 and 11-15, all in the morning.

If we qualify from the group we will face either the winner or runner up from Group B which looks like either New Zealand or South Africa.

Those games will take place on the weekend of October 19th / 20th in the later time slot on either the Saturday or Sunday.

The draw is being live streamed across the world and you can watch it take place right here.
