Elkstone, one of Ireland’s leading alternatives investment firms, has announced a new partnership with Irish Olympic sailor Finn Lynch.

The Irish athlete first represented Ireland at the 2016 Olympic Games, and he secured his place at the 2024 games after winning a bronze medal at the European ILCA7 championships in Athens, Greece, earlier this year.

The sponsorship will see Ekstone provide support for the 28-year-old sailor as he continues preparations for Paris 2024.

In addition to backing Finn Lynch’s bid for a podium finish, as part of the deal Elkstone has committed to further helping the Carlow-native and National Yacht Club member achieve his goals beyond the summer games, which take place from July to August.

“As an athlete preparing for the Olympics, particularly for a solo-sport like sailing, having the right support network around you is everything,” said Lynch.

“Heading into the final stretch on the road to Paris, I’m incredibly grateful to be adding Elkstone to that group of people, and I’m looking forward to working with the team in the year ahead.”

“We are immensely proud to welcome Finn Lynch to the Elkstone family,” added Elkstone CEO and co-founder Alan Merriman. At Elkstone, for us and our clients, investment performance matters, as does grit, character, and the impact of backing deserving investments. Finn’s drive, determination, and commitment to his passion are an inspiration, and we are backing him all the way.

In coming onboard as Elkstone’s latest brand ambassador, Finn Lynch joins a team of former Irish athletes, including Elkstone’s Chief of Staff, former Ireland international rugby star and Leinster fullback Rob Kearney, and Elkstone’s Head of Clients, former Galway footballer Joe Bergin.

“Wwe are passionate about enabling deserving investments that create a positive impact for Ireland,” said Bergin.

“As a former athlete, I understand the important role sponsorship has in delivering real impact in sports. I’m delighted we at Elkstone are providing an additional support platform to enable Finn Lynch to achieve his Olympic goals.”
