We asked earlier in the week in our Sport for Business Weekly Snapshot poll who you thought would win the Championships this summer in each of the four codes of Gaelic Games.

Cork will take comfort from the fact that their Camogie players are deemed most likely winners of the Liberty Insurance Championship.

In Hurling you feel it will be same again for John Kiely and his Limerick Champions, hard to argue against after Sunday’s Allianz League performance.

64% voted for the Boys in Green with Galway their most likely challenger on 16%, just ahead of Cork on 14% and Others on 4%.

Dublin were the choice of 57% to record a historic five in a row but Mayo were the choice of only seven per cent, the same as Kerry. The Red Hand of Tyrone are seen as the most potent threat to the Dubs with just under 30% thinking they’ll go all the way.

When it came to which of the sponsors you are most looking forward to seeing AIB came out on top with Bord Gais Energy in second and TG4 for the Ladies Football just ahead of Liberty Insurance in third and fourth.

It’s just a bit of fun though we are developing some interesting ideas in the field of research within the Sport for Business community and we’ll be letting you know about those in the coming months.
