The 25th anniversary of Soccerfest will be held in the Phoenix Park, Dublin this Saturday 10th September 2022 as part of SARI Sportsfest.
In 1997 SARI launched SoccerFest bringing together people from new migrant communities and indigenous Irish communities.
SoccerFest has grown into the largest 7-a-side inter-cultural tournament in Ireland attracting crowds of up to 3,000 people from over 60 different nationalities including teams from Direct Provision Centres and refugee communities.
A range of cultural activities including live entertainment is provided for all the family. As part of the activities, participants are given advice on mainstreaming into other sports organisations including developing links with soccer clubs.
Soccerfest provides an environment in which people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures can have fun and compete in a respectful way.
It is a very impressive event and a great way to spend the day. You will not be disappointed.
