Sports clubs from across South Dublin Kildare and Wicklow will be learning the benefits and the tricks of engaging with members through social media at a special briefing hosted by the local sports partnerships in the area at the Red Cow Inn this Saturday morning.
Many people are aware of Facebook and Twitter but are unsure how to best utilise them for their club.
This seminar will look at the do’s and don’ts and outline examples of where sports clubs have embraced it for positive benefit. The event will run from 9.30am to 1.30pm followed by lunch and a chance to network with other local clubs.
The main speaker on the day will be Liam Horan (Ex Journalist at the Irish Independent & RTE & Current CEO, slinuacareers.com) who will be getting clubs more familiar with the various social media platforms and encouraging them to look at using social media as a promotion and recruiting tool.
Delegates should typically be sports clubs members including administrators, committee members, coaches and volunteers who are involved in the running or governance of sports clubs.
