Ray McManus from Sportsfile is ’embedded’ with the team and sending images back for use across all media while Special Olympics Ireland Communications Manager Ross O’Donoghue is also with the team and sending daily media back in the form of interview clips, story flashed and more.

How that follows through in terms of coverage and awareness of what is the most diverse international sporting and humanitarian gathering of the year is evident in updates being broadcast on radio and covered online as well as in traditional mainstream media.

The team are keeping bang up to date through social media as well with coverage not only linked to performance but also keeping sponsors and supporters very much front and centre stage.

The Stanno brand of national kit supplied by Teamwear is evident in the picture above of the Irish floorball team while Gala and eir have been active on twitter and the the Aer Lingus social media team were in action over the weekend producing this short film of the team’s departure during the week.
