Sport for Business 20/20 is shaping up to be an exciting snapshot of the commercial sporting market as we look towards the next 12 months.  The 20 pitches from across the spectrum of sporting activity are currently being prepared and finalised and the last call for businesses who wish to participate will be going out today.
Each of the 20 sporting organisations will have six minutes to express their idea, followed up by the opportunity to mingle with their potential partners and explore particular aspects of their proposals in a more one-to-one setting.
The event is hosted by Sport for Business Founder member Ulster Bank who are heavily involved themselves in sporting sponsorship through the All Ireland Football Championship and the RBS Six Nations.
Among the different ideas that will be presented in the course of one morning are programmes from the worlds of horse and greyhound racing, from Special Olympics and Paralympics, from sporting charities and educational powerhouses; from National Governing Bodies and from clubs.  One idea links together sporting clubs from all codes from across the country in a way that defines the community nature of grassroots sport.
This is an event which may yield new commercial partnerships on the day or which may generate the creative spark that will lead to a longer term coming together of sporting and business needs in the very way that Sport for Business was created to foster.
