Clubs are to the fore in the latest social media engagement from the GAA.  The Association has given over prime space on its Facebook page to ‘Put your club on the map’.
The promotion is in support of the AIB GAA Club Championships which have moved from county to provincial at present and are generating country wide interest at a time when county teams are taking a break from their collective training.
The GAA Facebook page has just short of 30,000 supporters which is a fair start after being launched this year and the engagement with clubs should gain some traction with club sites active with news of Juvenile Championships coming to a conclusion, end of year fundraisers and annual general meetings.
The promotion is also showing the engagement that is now possible with fans from those whose clubs were not listed or whose crests were out of sync to those growing number of clubs playing outside of Ireland that want to be involved.
The reward for clubs from encouraging members to participate is entry into a draw to win €2,500 worth of new kit. You can visit the site at www.facebook.com/officialgaa
