AIB, the proud partner of the GOAL Mile, has teamed up with former Irish rugby international, Luke Fitzgerald to encourage communities across the island to step up together and take part in the GOAL Mile this Christmas season.

We were joined on the Sport for Business Daily this morning by Luke to talk about the event, his own transition from Leinster and Ireland to the corridors of finance, how he feels about running the rule over today’s crop of players on the Left Wing podcast and more.

He is a genuinely likeable guy and the conversation was easy.

Last year the Mile went virtual but for 2021 it is returning as a hybrid with real-life events in 150 locations across Ireland and around the world, and the opportunity to run at your own pace in your own location.

Registration is available at www.goalmile.org and you can complete your mile in any place, at any time during the month of December. You’d never know who you might be running alongside.

Sport for Business Perspective

The Goal Mile is a Christmas staple, as important today as it has been for nearly 40 years. Luke is a great ambassador for it, now where do I register to take part.
