Sophie Doolan

Sophie Doolan is the Women in Sport and Inclusion Officer at the Irish Athletic Boxing Association.

Her nomination praised her “relentless work ethic, her dedication to smashing barriers for women participating in Boxing and her enduring bravery in standing up for what she believes in both internally and externally.”

She joined IABA in January 2023, having previously spent time as Competitions and Operations Coordinator at Volleyball Ireland.

In Boxing, she has taken on responsibility for the IABA Women in Sport Policy, the IABA Paris Wave WIS Conference, the IABA Fuelling Success Conference and the I Wish 2025 Her Moves Engagement.

She was Chair of the Tallaght TUD Campus Sports Clubs Guild and coached the TUD Volleyball team while studying for her engineering degree there.

Nominations for 2025

So, who do you work with that has shone over the past twelve months and deserves recognition as they rise through their career?

It could be someone you work alongside or someone in another area you have admired or been impressed by.

Now is your chance to do something special for them.

Criteria

The criteria for submission are that the person should be working within the sports industry or in a sponsorship or agency capacity that brings sport to life and that they should have been born in or after 1995.

You are invited to submit names and a summary of why an individual should be recognised below.

From the start, our ambition has been to create a network of people making a real difference within our industry.

We are naming one new 30 Under 30 individual in our Sport for Business Morning Bulletin from Thursday, March 20th, 2025

On May 23rd, we will gather once more in the offices of PwC to meet in person, share experiences, and forge valuable connections.

We will also examine additional ways to help those nominated enhance their careers and build strong friendships across the sector.
