Sport for Business members will gather this morning for a session looking at a number of scenarios being developed around the return of sport in a limited form here and around the world.

The meeting will open with a short presentation around the different paths being taken including the return behind closed doors for administrative and TV reasons; with individual testing regimes as is proposed on the PGA Tour and elsewhere; and for recreational sport within strict social distance guidelines.

There will be an open discussion with the group of 30 as a whole with a number of contributions from the ‘virtual floor’ before the wider group breaks up into smaller units to see if specific areas of interest might be developed for further discussion with specific relevance for Irish sport.

Among the organisations with representatives attending are The GAA, FAI, Cricket Ireland, Ulster and Connacht Rugby, Swim Ireland, Volleyball Ireland, Clubforce, Huggity, Bord Gais Energy, Core, Sport Ireland Institute of Sport, Irish American Events, TG4, Tri Talking Sport and Leopardstown Racecourse.

Sport for Business will report on the outcomes from the meeting and it is hoped that this will be the first of a number of similar gatherings bringing us together across a range of different subjects.
