SSE Airtricity has announced the extension of its role as the principal partner with all three senior divisions of the League of Ireland until December 2026.
This brings SSE Airtricity’s commitment to the League of Ireland into its fifteenth season, with the partnership set to continue to promote sustainability, inclusion, and diversity within football.
Over the course of this new agreement, SSE Airtricity will work on a range of exciting programmes to support League of Ireland players off the pitch with personal and professional development opportunities.
The partnership will also amplify initiatives to date, such as securing additional broadcasting rights, the LGBT Football Takeover and sustainability-based content and accreditations to improve the environmental sustainability of clubs and the wider community.
“Over the past 14 years, we’ve expanded from the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier and First Divisions to the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division, and we have exciting plans to continue to grow the game for both women and men, on and off the field, while partnering with football clubs across the country on their sustainability journey,” said Ashley Morrow, SSE Airtricity Head of Brand, Advertising and Sponsorship
“SSE Airtricity has delivered a number of exciting projects already, and we’re excited to work with them again over the next three years to bring a whole new range of activations, further developments and initiatives to the League of Ireland,” added Sean Kavanagh, FAI Commercial Director.
“As interest in our League continues to rise, we are excited to have the continued support of such a committed partner,” said Mark Scanlon, League of Ireland Director. “Over the next three years, we look forward to working with the team at SSE Airtricity to help further grow and develop our game and unlock the potential that the League of Ireland has to offer.”
