The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing the excitement of the NFL Draft to Dublin for an official Steelers Draft Party, presented by Aer Lingus.

Fans can watch all the action unfold on giant screens surrounded by the energy of a ‘Steelers Nation’ event.

The NFL Draft is when the 32 NFL teams pick in order from the best of the graduating college football graduates. The team with the worst record the previous year gets the first pick, and the order of picks can be traded years in advance around other player deals.

Patrick Mahomes was the 10th pick, in the first round of the 2017 draft.  Tom Brady was the 199th pick in the 7th and final round of the 2000 edition.  Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger was the 11th pick, again in the first round, of the 2004 draft.

It is the most democratic form of sports recruiting you can imagine, dare we say almost socialist, in terms of the egalitarian outcome it produces.

It is the primary and almost exclusive way into the sport at the highest level and is a major sports event in its own right.

The night of football and fun comes ahead of the 2025 NFL Dublin game, where the Steelers will be the home team for the first-ever regular-season NFL game in Ireland.

A soon-to-be-announced Steelers legend will be in attendance to meet fans. In addition, there will be food, drinks, live music, and entertainment, and you will have the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Irish Steelers Fan Tom McCormack was selected as the Steelers International Fan of the Year earlier this year.  As part of this, he will make one of the Steelers picks live from the Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Green Bay Packers, along with the Kansas City Chiefs, were recently granted International Marketing Rights to Ireland, joining the Steelers, the New York Jets, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
