Dublin GAA and SubaruDublin GAA has signed a new commercial deal making Subaru the official car partner to the Dublin Senior Football and Hurling Teams.

Subaru replaces Toyota whose three year deal came to an end at the conclusion of the 2016 season.  That deal had worked well with Toyota reporting increased sales and using Dublin GAA to help launch the European leg of a new initiative on subscription driving.

Toyota and Subaru have a degree of shared ownership and collaborate on a number of projects.

The new deal is a mark of the commercial power which Dublin has.  It is the latest in a line of deals and renewals brokered by Tomas Quinn since coming on board as Commercial and Marketing Manager for Dublin GAA. These include partnerships with AIG, Lifestyle Sports and Aer Lingus.

“Dublin GAA are delighted to welcome Subaru on board as our new Official Car Partner,” he said.

“We are excited about this new relationship and look forward to working together in the years ahead.”

Dublin players Chris Crummey, Mick Fitzsimons, Eoghan O’Donnell & Kevin McManamon were on hand for the launch.  Fitzsimons came from off the bench in the All Ireland Final last year to win the Man of the Match Award in the Replay while McManamon has a well deserved reputation as a sup sub with the impact he has had in winning games from the sideline.

Subaru will provide vehicles to the players and management of the Dublin senior football and hurling teams. These will be drawn from across the range, including Impreza, XV Crossover, Forester and Outback.

Both teams will also benefit from a Subaru Forester Van to transport their kit around the country as they compete in the All Ireland Championships and National Leagues.

“We are very proud to become a partner of Dublin GAA and delighted to support some of the most talented players in the country, especially at a time when Dublin GAA is having such success on the field in both codes,” said Sean Dunne, Financial Controller of Subaru Ireland.
