Today’s Podcast comes in our Women in Sport Series and tells the remarkable story of how the University of Nebraska Volleyball programme set about creating a world record attendance at one of their games.

92,003 supporters packed into the Nebraska Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska to watch the team and enjoy an experience that they will remember forever.

Great sport has the power to do that and great women’s sport perhaps even more so.

The Sport for Business coverage of Women in Sport, including this podcast is supported by Lidl and it was a launch of new research into attendance that allowed us to chat with Lyndsay Peterson who was an integral part of this achievement.

The research showed that 59 percent of the Irish public have never been to a Women’s sports event versus 29 percent that have never been to any sport. You can read about this and other numbers on the Sportforbusiness.com website but for now, let’s dive into hearing the story of the Nebraska Volleyball Day that showed what is possible…

You can subscribe to the podcast which drops every Tuesday and Thursday across a wide range of sporting areas on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts from.

There are over 50 interviews to listen back to and please feel free to spread the word.
