The Aer Lingus College Football Classic is coming to Dublin this summer, three years later than originally hoped for but losing nothing in the level of buzz and excitement it will generate.

It also promises to be one of the most powerful gatherings of business leaders that Ireland has seen.

We spoke to Brendan Meehan, Commercial Director of what is so much #MoreThanaGame about what is likely to be one of the hottest tickets of the Irish sporting summer.

“At this stage, we are getting into the detail. It’s getting real, and it’s about time.”

“The requirement to test for Covid before returning to the US is a big barrier and no one knows if that will still be the case come August and the war in Ukraine is obviously a concern but we are still looking at 16,000 American fand travelling and another 5,000 from across Europe so there will be a huge influx but still space for over 25,000 Irish fans to experience the game.”

“We will have the pep rallies, the marching bands, the cheerleaders and the best matchday experience you could imagine.”

“There are loads of different ways to get involved.”

The Ireland US CEO Club Lunch that will precede the game on the Friday before will be one of the most powerful ever to be assembled in Dublin.

At 9:45 in the interview above Brendan reveals the guest speaker that will be a major draw for anyone with an interest in the way the world is run and how it will be in the future.
