Each weekend we take a look back on the sporting highs from across Ireland and around the world through the medium of numbers.

The number of seconds on the clock when Dean Rock opened the scoring in Saturday’s All Ireland Senior Men’s Football Championship Final. It was the fastest goal ever recorded in the Final and while Mayo came back and led at one point in the first half, it was a key part of the five-point winning margin that Dublin recorded on their way to a sixth title in a row.

Dublin’s Ladies Footballers followed up again on the same weekend for the second year in a row to take the TG4 Ladies Football Title for a fourth consecutive year and a fifth time in history after their five-point winning margin over Cork.
9
The unbeaten run in tournament rugby since the start of the season for Munster and Leinster after weekend wins in the Heineken Champions Cup. Munster had conceded four tries by the 24th minute but came storming back to win away to Clermont Auvergne. The two sides meet in Thomond Park in the Guinness PRO14 on St Stephens Day. That should be a cracker.
11
The number of consecutive years in which the New England Patriots have qualified for the NFL post-season play-offs. That run came to an end on Sunday night with defeat to the Miami Dolphins, two weeks out from the end of the regular season.
13
The number of goals scored by Liverpool and Manchester United in crushing wins over Crystal Palace and Leeds United in the English Premier League over the weekend. Only Leicester City divide the two old rivals at the top of the table heading into Christmas.

Lewis Hamilton was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year for the second time on Sunday night. He won his first in 2014 and has been runner up in the public vote on four occasions since then. This season he matched Michael Schumacher in winning the F1 Drivers title for the seventh time.
