We were joined this morning by Tyrone All Ireland Winner and AIB GAA Ambassador Colm Kavanagh to chat about the meeting of Tyrone and Mayo in the All Ireland Men’s Football Final at Croke Park.

We covered how they have come through #TheToughest year of every game being sudden death and how different it was for him getting ready from the sidelines as opposed to being part of the team as he was in 2008 and 2018.

“It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster year with, in many way’s, football back to its best.”

“Last year was difficult to watch. I’d stepped away after playing Dublin in the league. I was asked to go back this year but I’d made peace with the fact that my time was gone. I’ve really enjoyed watching the team this year, though it has been an adjustment.”

“I didn’t get to the game against Kerry. I had a prior engagement for a stag party with a friend so I was watching the game in a bar in Derry.”
