“We are delighted Tiger is returning to Adare Manor to compete in the Pro-Am,” said McManus.
“It is a huge boost to the event and massively exciting for the thousands of fans who make the tournament what it is.”
“Tiger has been a fantastic supporter of our efforts in years gone by and he gives us a big helping hand as we raise vital funds for charities in the region.”
The event will take place on July 6th and 7th 2020 at the Tom Fazio redesigned Golf Course at Adare Manor. The course, along with the Adare Manor Hotel, recently reopened after an extensive refurbishment.
The hotel was awarded the ‘Global Hotel of the Year’ award in the Virtuoso ‘Best of the Best Awards 2018’ in Las Vegas.
Once again, several charities will benefit from the Pro-Am, with over €100 million raised since the event was first held in 1990. Woods joins Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Pádraig Harrington and Paul McGinley in confirming his participation, with more announcements due in the coming months.
Woods return to form in the last two Majors has reignited interest in him at the highest levels of the sport. He will play a match against phil Mickelson on Pay TV this November for a purse of $9 million.
