Tixserve, an Irish-based provider of digital ticket delivery solutions to Six Nations Rugby and others, has signed a new partnership with Barmy Army, the England cricket supporters’ group.
This marks Tixserve’s first foray into the cricket sector, expanding its footprint in the sports industry.
Under the collaboration, Tixserve will revolutionise the ticketing experience for Barmy Army’s Travel and Hospitality packages.
Tixserve will power digital ticket packages to engage with all England matches and events, including fan events, meet and greets, hospitality receptions, and the popular Barmy Bingo event, which takes place before or after England cricket games at nearby venues.
The partnership will further extend to overseas tour packages, incorporating digital entitlements and engaging match tickets, commencing in Winter 2024.
“We are always looking for ways to improve our members’ experience, and streamlining our ticketing processes at home and abroad is a key part of this,” said Adam Canning, Commercial Director of the Barmy Army.
“We are delighted to be working with Tixserve to deliver a more modern customer experience whilst also streamlining what has historically been a labour-intensive operation.”
This partnership aims to transition Barmy Army from traditional paper-based tickets, which required labour-intensive operations, to a seamless and efficient digital system.
The new “Barmy Army Tickets” app, powered by Tixserve, will streamline ticket distribution, reduce operational burdens, and significantly enhance the overall patron experience. Guests and members travelling internationally will enjoy a premium, hassle-free experience, setting a new standard for fan engagement.
It is becoming a ‘must have’ for sporting organisations and anyone enjoying the Paris Olympic Games will be aware of how easy and efficient the ticketing experience was.
IRFU, FAI and GAA Tickets are generally an ‘in-app’ experience now and all the better as a result.
Tixserve’s solution will also facilitate data and engagement capabilities that enhance the fan experience and ensure cricket remains entertaining and meaningful.
“We are excited to bring our innovative digital ticketing solution to the cricket sector through our partnership with Barmy Army,” said Patrick Kirby, Managing Director of Tixserve.
“Our technology will not only improve operational efficiency but also offer Barmy Army valuable insights to better serve and grow their global fan base.”
