Circle K, one of the commercial partners of the Olympic Federation of Ireland have launched a new campaign tied into the Olympic Torch relay which got under way this week in Japan.
The ‘Keep It Lit’ campaign gives customers the chance to double up on their support of Team Ireland athletes.
Each day from now until April 25th, Circle K stations in one county will double the value of digital coins when customers scan the Circle K app or their Play or Park loyalty tag in-store.
These coins can then be used by Olympic and Paralympic athletes who signed up to the initiative when it launched in 2019.
They can use the digital coins to redeem complimentary miles fuel at all 410 Circle K service stations, as well as food or refreshments at any of the participating Circle K stores between now and the delayed Tokyo 2020 Games this summer.
It is estimated that approximately €250,000 worth of digital coins will have been generated over the course of the initiative, all of which will be shared evenly amongst Team Ireland hopefuls.
