Turkish Airlines have come on board as the official airline partner of the Euro 2016 Championships. It is the first time the Championships have had an official airline partner and they will be making the most of the opportunity by creating special deals for fans and teams travelling to France.
The Airline flies to 42 countries across Europe including 22 of those taking part in the Finals.
Last month the airline signed a similar deal with European Professional Club Rugby and the Champions’ Cup.
The Euro 2016 logo and visuals will be painted onto planes just as British Airways did for the London 2012 Olympics and Aer Lingus did through it’s support of Irish Rugby during the run up to the World Cup.
“We are excited to welcome Turkish Airlines on board,” said UEFA Events Marketing Director Gut-Laurent Epstein.
“Through exclusive offers and innovative activations, we are looking forward to working with them to bring fans together from all over the world to celebrate in France next year.”
Turkish Airlines are the ninth official partner to sign up for the Championships. They join Continental, McDonalds and Carlsberg who also have partnerships with the FAI as well as Coca Cola, Adidas, Hyundai, Orange and Socar.
