The Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup gets underway today with two games being streamed live on the GAA Higher Education Committee YouTube channel.

Queen’s University Belfast take on DCU at 7 PM with the TV cameras on. TU Dublin travel to play University of Galway while MTU Cork host Maynooth.

Tomorrow the cameras will be there for the 7:30 Throw in of Ulster University against UCC taking place at the neutral venue of the GAA National Games Development Centre on the Sport Ireland Campus.

UL take on ATU Donegal at the Connacht GAA centre of Excellence while SETU Carlow play TUS Midlands and ATU Galway host UCD.

The first round of games concludes on Thursday with St Mary’s Vs ATU Sligo.

UCC are the reigning champions, having won last year’s title despite losing their opening match.

Ruari and Darragh Canavan are among the inter county stars on the Ulster university team waiting for them this year.

There is likely to be a strong showing as well from University of Galway who won the Division One Higher Education League before Christmas.

Tommy Conroy, Ryan O’Donoghue and Dylan Geaney are among the stars they will be looking to.

Through its #FirstClassRivals campaign, Electric Ireland will continue to celebrate the unexpected alliances that form between county rivals as they come together in pursuit of some of the most coveted titles across Camogie and GAA.
