The Run in the Dark could not take place as normal this year but will happen as a virtual event next Wednesday, November 18th as a virtual event.

An expected 25,000 people worldwide will get up from their armchairs, slip on their red flashing armbands and pull on their running shoes to complete a 5k or 10k.

Running separately while connecting socially across 7 continents, this global movement will light up the night as people hit the road to Run in the Dark for the Mark Pollock Trust and to donate or fundraise for Collaborative Cures, whose mission is to bring people together to cure paralysis in our lifetime.

Entries are still being accepted up until midnight next Monday, November 16th.

There is a special app to track your progress and a global leaderboard to judge your efforts against those taking place around the world.

Each sign up receives a medal and also a phone holder with flashing lights mixing branding for the event as well as safety.

There has been an online nutrition hub on the run in the Dark website since September helping people to prepare and everyone who completes the run will get their own special certificate as well.

The Mark Pollock Trust is an inspirational organisation looking to make the ultimate difference and is deserving of support if you might be mindful to run next week.
