Quest Adventure Series have teamed up again with Volvo Car Ireland as its official event vehicle partner for 2020.

Quest adventure races involve running, cycling and kayaking across various distances in remote, beautiful and challenging locations.

The adventure racing calendar kicked off in style last weekend in Kenmare, Co. Kerry when 1600 adventure racers took to the hills, trails and waterways of Kenmare.

The next Quest Adventure race is scheduled for Gledalough on April 4th while events in Sligo. Lough Derg and Killarney are scheduled for August, September and October.

Volvo Car Ireland was on hand in Kenmare with their 201 hybrid models on display as well as offering competitors the opportunity to avail of an eco-bike valet post-event.

Adventure racing has become a very popular past-time in Ireland in recent years with more than 10,000 participants taking part in Quest events across the year. An alternative to triathlon and the popular mass participation half-marathons, adventure racing extends beyond the physical and fosters a great sense of camaraderie and fun as part of the races.

“We are delighted to work with Volvo again as official vehicle partner for Quest,” said Oliver Kirwan, Quest founder and Race Director.

“It’s a brand that has great synergies with Quest and we know that adventure racers value high-quality experiences in the outdoors.”

“To be able to get out into the countryside or coastline with your gear and taking on an escape or an adventure weekend is what it’s all about. I’d like to welcome Volvo to Quest Adventure Series 2020, we look forward to a really positive and productive partnership throughout the year.”

“We are delighted to once again support the Quest Adventure Series, an exhilarating sport that allows people to actively experience some of Ireland’s most beautiful locations,” added Emma O’Carroll, Head of Marketing and Communications at Volvo Car Ireland.

“There is a sense of adventure at the heart of Volvo that makes this partnership a perfect fit.”

Quest are also working with Glenisk for the 2020 season and we will be touching base with the team through the year to look behind the scenes at the race organisation and more.
